Are You Going Through A Personal Transformation? Let's Talk About It!

While many of you may have heard from the mouths of peers, discussions about personal transformations, here we'll talk about what exactly a personal transformation is and how it benefits you.

Let's start by discussing what a personal transformation is. A personal transformation is, in a nutshell, one transitioning from old to new, into a better version of themselves. In previous blog posts, or on "The Self-Care Mutha" Instagram page, we talked about how no matter how much you elevate, there will always be new levels to reach.
Personally, I am in a space of personal transformation myself. After experiencing some hardships, some heartbreaks, I found myself going through all of the emotions and stages of shedding the old and birthing the new.
What do I mean by shedding the old and birthing the new?
What I mean by shedding the old is, breaking away from everything that I felt no longer served me. By simply performing this act alone, is powerful. Letting go of the things that no longer serve you, help to detach you mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, from anything or anyone that has been holding you back or keeping you in a state of stagnation.
This is how you reclaim your power.
By birthing the new version of myself, I had to take action. I started to implement boundaries, I started to hold myself and others accountable (myself most importantly) and I started to walk my path in a different way in order to receive different results in my life. Better results. This is how I transformed. This is how I am transforming.
My personal transformation has allowed for me to understand my strength, my power, the importance of my relationship with God, the importance of walking in my purpose and standing in the woman that I am. It was all much needed. The woman that I am now, is different from the woman I was even months ago. She is beautiful.
How can you start a personal transformation?
The steps are simple!
Forgive yourself. Forgive others, but understand that the forgiveness is always for you, never them.
Identify the reason for your transformation.
Identify repetitive patterns that have done nothing but gotten you the same result time again.
Write down new, healthy ways that you can obtain your goal.
Let go of anything no longer serving you.
Set boundaries and do not allow them to be crossed by ANYONE.
Implement NEW ways to go about things than you have before.
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Understand that the best things happen outside of our comfort zone.
Once you have completed the steps listed above, make them a habit, do not forget them. Take your transformation very serious, our lives depend on them!
Never lose sight of the end goal when it comes to your personal transformation. The goal is to always come out better than before.
