In greater efforts to be more present and focus on the now, mindfulness activities are a must. Dealing with anxiety and stress can have us all over the place mentally. Have you ever found yourself with so many mental tabs open at once that you're extremely overwhelmed? I've been there and I understand. With that being said, here are a few mindfulness activities that I believe would be beneficial to your mental health.

Let's get right into it!
Journaling is one of the best activities you'll experience ! Taking a moment to sit down and write things out on paper. From how you're feeling at the current moment to prayer and things that may weigh heavy on your heart and mind. A release is always necessary and how nice it feels to write it down and let it go, top tier. Give it a try.
Meditation. Meditation gives you a great opportunity to focus on the present and reduce negative thoughts and emotions. Take a moment to become grounded and gain self awareness even in moments of anxiety and anger. Meditation gives your mind a calmness that is unexplainable.
Displaying Gratitude. Being able to express gratitude daily, gives you more experiences with exuding positive energy and casting out negative energy. Often times, life can become so overwhelming that we do not take the time to show gratitude and appreciation for the good, but instead, focus more on the bad. I'm unsure about how that works for you, but for me, focusing on the negative things have never made me feel better. Every chance you get, express gratitude for your present, yourself, your family, every part of your life.
Music therapy does the mind good. Opposite of what you may believe, even the music we listen to has an affect on us. Gong baths are sound healing meditation practices used as a healing technique to reduce stress, help you acquire relaxation and much more! Bathe in the vibration of sound & enjoy !
Breathing exercises. In high - pressure situations mindful breathing exercises have helped me tremendously! Will you remember to do them every time you need them? Probably not. That's why you're working on being mindful, with these exercises in particular. You can find apps like "Calm" or even YouTube videos on how to accomplish the techniques if you don't have time to go to yoga studios and other places that would offer the exercise experience.
Remember, when we take care of our mental health, the body follows. Be good to yourself.
